2023-3-18 How to trail break in F1 2022 with manual shift

[0:00 - 0:09] what's up guys today I'm going to be teaching you guys how to do trail braking and how to
[0:09 - 0:19] run this particular track right here using manual mode and trail braking but this is
[0:19 - 0:26] mostly going to be a trail braking tutorial using manual with only traction on because
[0:26 - 0:32] you know a lot of people do use traction they might say they don't use it but they actually do
[0:32 - 0:46] so we're gonna get right into it here we're gonna restart the lap now what you want to do right here
[0:46 - 0:58] you want to pump the brakes like I'm doing right here as you're approaching a corner you want to
[0:58 - 1:07] with an F1 car particularly you want to stay in seventh gear through here and then start braking
[1:07 - 1:21] right about here in a sense way as you can see right there that was a little sloppy I kind of went
[1:21 - 1:37] I'll track the baby but you want to give back on that gas and just go through it man just go through the corner
[1:37 - 1:51] but off the brake you're going through the corner
[1:51 - 2:10] so as you see I'm steadily letting off the brake as I'm entering some of these corners like right
[2:10 - 2:21] here I'm letting off the brake mid corner and I'm allowing the car to just pull me through the corner
[2:21 - 2:30] and a lot of you will say go inside the outside no you go outside the inside and you'll see why
[2:31 - 2:43] see how on the outside of the track right here see I used what's called the racing line you go
[2:43 - 2:46] outside the inside outside the inside
[3:02 - 3:04] back now I'm shooting down the
[3:13 - 3:35] so you see how I'm trail breaking through these corners you want to hit that break and then turn
[3:35 - 3:56] in like this it's all about being smooth you want to be smooth with your turns not all jerky
[4:35 - 4:56] so yeah buttery smooth you hit the trail break let off the gas and the break you turn in and then
[4:56 - 5:07] give back on the gas so basically it's break let off the brake turn in and you just do it like
[5:07 - 5:23] look break turn in give back on the gas let off the gas break and turn in and then if you turn
[5:23 - 5:33] in too late that will happen so just be mindful of this track that does happen sometimes they just
[5:33 - 5:49] break turn in and then you just give back on the throttle notice how my feet are doing multiple
[5:49 - 5:59] taps to get the pressure you want to feather that break going into the corner so you bleed off a lot
[5:59 - 6:06] of the braking and the extra speed because you don't want to be going too fast into the corner
[6:06 - 6:27] you want to bleed off so in that extra speed and yeah now my friends it's how you do trail
