[0:50 - 1:15] Hey, Greg Kazoo, welcome to the stream man. I was actually just getting ready to get into things and tell everybody that, you know, I am sorry for not being able to record today. Not only did I have a lot of, like I said, I was basically being attacked by a lot of people this morning outside of Twitch and YouTube and all that.
[1:15 - 1:29] So I had to deal with some personal shit on that level and then I had to help out family today with some stuff. So I figured I'd make it up to you guys tonight by doing some covers for you.
[1:30 - 4:59] [MUSIC]
[4:59 - 5:13] Yo, Kigano, what up? Kigano, what up bro? I'm doing good man. And Tickle, what up man? I'm doing good dude, how about you guys? What is up? What is up? What is up?
[5:13 - 5:28] [MUSIC]
[5:28 - 5:35] Because I know a lot of you guys have been wanting me and wanting me and wanting me to do this song. I'm going to do this for you.
[5:35 - 9:07] [MUSIC]
[9:07 - 9:12] Hey, Jabba the Hood, what up? What's up Jabba the Hood?
[9:12 - 9:20] [MUSIC]
[9:20 - 9:23] Who's ready to take you down to a little bit of slipknot?
[9:24 - 17:22] [MUSIC]
[17:23 - 17:27] >> Hey, some of these models, what's up?
[17:27 - 17:35] But this song was dedicated to me a long time ago, and I wanna dedicate this to all you guys.
[17:35 - 21:45] [MUSIC]
[21:45 - 21:48] >> I wanna see if you guys remember something real quick.
[21:49 - 22:19] [MUSIC]
[22:19 - 22:22] Let's see how many of you guys remember this.
[22:22 - 22:26] [MUSIC]
[22:26 - 22:29] A lot of you guys from my era may end up remembering this.
[22:29 - 31:21] [MUSIC]
[31:21 - 31:22] Yes.
[31:22 - 31:24] [MUSIC]
[31:24 - 31:25] Hey.
[31:25 - 31:27] [MUSIC]
[31:27 - 31:29] Kejano, welcome back, welcome back, welcome back.
[31:29 - 31:32] [MUSIC]
[31:32 - 31:33] How you doing?
[31:33 - 32:02] [MUSIC]
[32:02 - 32:09] Now, this one isn't as well known, but I think you guys will actually know this one all the same.
[32:09 - 35:05] [MUSIC]
[35:05 - 35:15] How do you guys remember that song?
[35:15 - 35:31] [MUSIC]
[35:31 - 35:36] How do you guys remember the movie Eddie and the Cruisers, man? Both of them.
[35:36 - 35:39] And how can I just say Eddie and the Cruisers?
[35:39 - 35:44] One of my favorite films, series, ever, man. Fucking love those movies.
[35:44 - 40:12] [MUSIC]
[40:17 - 40:21] Hold on, let me go ahead, let me reread that last comment.
[40:21 - 40:35] [MUSIC]
[40:35 - 40:42] I actually know, the way I actually found out that I'm actually part of Cherokee is through my older brother.
[40:42 - 40:49] Because when my older brother was alive, he was very, very, very big into family history.
[40:49 - 40:53] He was very big into our family history and so like that.
[40:53 - 40:58] So he did some research and found out.
[40:58 - 41:04] [MUSIC]
[41:04 - 41:07] So that's how I found out was through him.
[41:07 - 41:23] [MUSIC]
[41:23 - 41:28] Yeah, speaking of Cherokee, you know this one's going to have to own a lot of people out there, man.
[41:28 - 41:31] It's going to have to own a lot of Cherokee people out there, man.
[41:31 - 45:46] [MUSIC]
[45:46 - 45:50] Oh, speaking of Irish, yeah, I got something for you guys.
[45:50 - 61:24] [MUSIC]
[61:24 - 61:27] The person that asked me earlier about, do I have a pedal or anything?
[61:27 - 61:29] No, I don't.
[61:29 - 61:35] I would actually like to get another guitar that's more metal-based
[61:35 - 61:37] instead of like this.
[61:37 - 62:01] [MUSIC]
[62:01 - 62:07] You know, I don't want that rock song, I want that fucking to tell you straight up metal sound.
[62:07 - 62:11] But in order to do that, I need to get a new guitar, well, a different guitar
[62:11 - 62:15] and some pedals and all that shit and a new amp.
[62:15 - 62:17] But it's a whole ass process.
[62:17 - 64:01] [MUSIC]
[64:01 - 64:06] Don't get me wrong, I love the sound of this guitar, I really do.
[64:06 - 64:57] [MUSIC]
[64:57 - 65:02] See, I like that sound but I want more of that heaviness, you know.
[65:02 - 65:15] [MUSIC]
[65:15 - 65:23] You know, something where I can do like, this right here, hold on.
[65:23 - 65:35] [MUSIC]
[65:35 - 65:38] Not really, I'm just fucking out on this.
[65:38 - 77:14] [MUSIC]
[77:14 - 77:24] I'm here with an immense and mesmerizing talent in Skind. Quite the honor. Thank you so much for joining our IUF series today. Now this is an important yet thrilling time of year.
[77:24 - 77:37] Yeah, cowboy what up father with the release of your latest gripping single Michelle Carter that dropped this past May and that lines up with your upcoming EP this fall, I believe title chapter three.
[77:37 - 77:52] And first and foremost, you know, I just want to commend you on all of the well deserved recognition. This new music has been receiving so far, you know, there's just so much to unravel about your songs, your ep's and what you're all about.
[77:52 - 78:06] But before we get to all that I'm beyond, I know we're kind of getting back into the normality of things skin. How are you? What's the last seven months been like inside the vision and mind of someone like you?
[78:06 - 78:24] It has been a really tough time for me a really dark time dealt with a lot of depression and mental problems, to be honest with you, because it, you know, I didn't know how this is going to proceed, you know, am I going to stand on stage again or not, you know,
[78:24 - 78:39] those were like, I was really afraid of that I could never play life again. I was really afraid of that. And, you know, that's something I love the most standing on stage, you know, feel the energy of your crowd, people singing along.
[78:39 - 79:00] I mean, this is, it's hard to find the right words to explain the feeling, it's like a drop, you know, you get immediately addicted to it. And I think the biggest problem for me, or for the whole band was we were on European tour with Babymetal, we played the support for Babymetal.
[79:00 - 79:14] So we were into touring. And then we wanted to go to Australia. And right before we wanted to go to Australia, everything was locked down. And we just couldn't keep up with our plan.
[79:14 - 79:31] So we had to find a way how we're going to produce new music, set up maybe a new life show. Also the videos, that was, that was a big problem for us. We wanted to, you know, release more songs, release more videos.
[79:31 - 79:52] But because of the lockdown, and because of all the restrictions we had, we weren't able to actually shoot a video. So that was really, really hard for us. But on the other hand, I had the time to actually focus on myself, and on my music, my father.
[79:52 - 80:06] So that was something I mean, it was all, it's always just me and father, or father and me. But we really used the time for just writing new songs and get the creativity flowing, you know.
[80:06 - 80:24] And, you know, the music videos are a big part of the music you create, which we'll dive into here in a second. Something I'm thinking about, as you're telling me all these things that you're trying to stick focus on the art you're creating, making the best of this crazy situation that we've
[80:24 - 80:34] all been in, in the last like year and a half. I mean, I didn't know I was going to be doing these podcasts a year ago, obviously these interviews would be in person, right, and you've been at this for a while, Skim.
[80:34 - 80:45] And performing the music that you have, I begin to think how was the touring life and the live music experience for you personally, because you've done some extensive touring, you know, you play that, you know, you're a sauna, you play that
[80:45 - 81:00] download from it. So that's the mecca of heavy metal festivals or just music in general and now, you know, we've all been kind of just forced to take this unexpected step back and has this time lately made you, I don't know, develop
[81:00 - 81:09] a new found appreciation maybe even a growing appreciation of the touring life because I know you're, you're about to head back out in what 2022 next year.
[81:09 - 81:13] Yeah, what was your favorite part about touring, really.
[81:13 - 81:33] So, my favorite part of touring is just being on stage. Yeah, that's like the best for me, like performing is something I would die for, to be fair. So, when someone is or something or a certain situation is taking that away from you, and you can't
[81:33 - 81:48] do anything, you know, like, we also thought about maybe doing live stream, you know, but everyone was doing it. So I was like, should we also do it now it's like it seems like a bit okay skin is doing it now as well.
[81:48 - 82:02] We're like, no, that's not. It's not the same. It's not, but playing live, I mean, welcome or download festival that was.
[82:02 - 82:17] That was insane to me, like a download festival in Donington. That was 2019. And I remember I, we had a tent stage it was.
[82:17 - 82:27] I would say that it was a stage but in a tent. Yeah, so it was kind of dark inside so the light, the light show was worked really well.
[82:27 - 82:38] And I was going on stage, and there were people dressing up like me in front of the stage, and I was like,
[82:38 - 82:56] Yeah, that was, you know, it's, it's like unbelievable that people, you know cosplay you, you know, singing along and then people, you know, screaming and waving their hands and it's just like, it's a dream come true for me because I've been working
[82:56 - 83:11] on this stream of being skinned and performing life for such a long time. And now this is finally happening. This is so satisfying that you feel like you're on the right track what you're doing right now you're on the right track.
[83:11 - 83:26] And people really appreciate your music, and don't just like, you know, say like, Oh, you're just glorifying serial killers and you're fucked up. No people really get what I'm saying and that's the most beautiful part of it, you know, because
[83:26 - 83:41] I was with father we had so many discussions about this topic, should we really do that. I was always like no I did that, that's me you know this is me, this is my creativity, singing about true crime.
[83:41 - 83:47] So that people or your supporters get what you're trying to say.
[83:47 - 84:02] Yeah, and I want to piggyback off of what you just said because the big part of what makes skinned, you know skinned is the live presence that you exhibit on stage and considering the fact that you guys do wear, you know, makeup happy maybe even
[84:02 - 84:17] have these prosthetics and have these intense horror things on the performance setting I mean does it feel like you're taking on a different persona when you're performing live like does it help with a presentation of whose skin is because, you know, inspiration
[84:17 - 84:22] comes from true crime I feel like you're portraying the music in a visual presentation right.
[84:22 - 84:36] Absolutely and that was, that was something I was aiming for that the visual and music fits well together you know because it's a really visual project as well. But to answer your question.
[84:36 - 84:46] I am skinned, you know, I'm not playing this, this is me, you know, I'm not playing that skin is a persona, we all get that.
[84:46 - 84:53] I am skinned. That's nothing underneath I want to make sure people know that too.
[84:53 - 84:59] There's nothing underneath. That's me. That's really me. And I just don't talk about my privacy.
[84:59 - 85:13] But all you need to know is that I'm skinned and I'm living for it, you know, this is me and performing on stage this is no like, it's not staged you know, this is really me living my performance.
[85:13 - 85:25] And something that's really important to you I want to talk about this because I think it's amazing your community this the skin to get you talking about the fans that are that are behind the work you create talk about them because that's your
[85:25 - 85:38] dedicated and growing fan base and they're also involved in creating like skin to art of their own I went in and went through like the stuff that they've made throughout, you know, your career as an artist and as you know, this just says, you know, being
[85:38 - 85:52] on stage and, you know, they have a Facebook I saw an instrument they have a tape talk and discord like, yeah, I mean, talk about them, do you have any words to describe just this growing community that you have kind of just manifested.
[85:52 - 85:58] You know, when I, when I started this project with father.
[85:58 - 86:08] I was, I was sure about that is going to be a really big backlash, you know, a girl singing about true pride.
[86:08 - 86:16] You know, I mean it kind of comes with a territory right. Exactly.
[86:16 - 86:28] And then just a little bit of skin. If you guys have not checked them out, bro, fucking do it. It's actually some good stuff like they have some really cool shit.
[86:28 - 86:45] Now if you guys would like to see me create some crazy music like that dude post that shit in the comments dude.
[86:45 - 87:14] All right, tell me if you guys can imagine doing some crazy show I did, and bear in mind no I'm not seeing this yet this brand new.
[87:14 - 91:21] Oh, my God.
[91:21 - 91:30] Dude, that was fucking weird man not even gonna lie there that shit was weird.
[91:30 - 91:51] Yo, I want to what up the dude that video was fucking tripping man my God.
[91:51 - 91:55] That shit was fucking bro.
[91:55 - 92:13] That shit was dark. That was good, but it was dark, but it was good, but it was dark.
[92:13 - 92:25] That shit dude the way they do their vocals is so fucking sick dude.
[92:25 - 92:42] The way they do their music is like literally a style that I can actually get behind.
[92:42 - 92:47] Like that shit is trivia's book.
[92:47 - 92:52] It's got like a combination of metal mixed with dubstep like it's so sick.
[92:52 - 93:04] It's got almost an industrial sound.
[93:04 - 93:10] Exactly dude like, and I'm not saying all music is fake.
[93:10 - 93:16] I want me to do a lot of these mama rappers. We don't need that shit.
[93:16 - 93:22] Like what skin what they do is they like you guys just saw.
[93:22 - 93:30] They tell the story of a real life serial killer in each song.
[93:30 - 93:39] And they don't do it to glorify the serial killer they do it to tell the victim's story.
[93:39 - 93:45] Which I can get behind I fuck with that shit.
[93:45 - 93:55] Or like songs like what corn does or a Lincoln park did or disturbed does or even what I do already.
[93:55 - 94:01] By telling my story about the shit that I've gone through and what I've been through, you know.
[94:01 - 94:11] Like you are right dude there needs to be more music out there on that or hell, even music like what fucking church does dude.
[94:11 - 94:22] Church is a fucking perfect example of what being a real music artist is all about.
[94:22 - 94:29] Like this guy's got gold records, platinum records.
[94:29 - 94:40] This dude, the same dude that y'all see on stage and doing all these crazy ass music videos is the same motherfucker that you'll find at two in the morning at Walmart's dude.
[94:40 - 94:47] The same dude that you'll see down at 7-11 and you're grabbing a pack of smokes or whatever.
[94:47 - 94:55] Like he's a real ass motherfucker, like he doesn't like pretend to be someone that he's not just like with me.
[94:55 - 94:59] I don't pretend to be who I'm not, I'm me.
[94:59 - 95:03] And as a matter of fact it's like I said on Marty's stream earlier, you know.
[95:03 - 95:08] I know not everybody's gonna like me, I know not everybody's going to like my music.
[95:08 - 95:16] But for those that do like me and appreciate me and appreciate my music, those are the people that I do it for.
[95:16 - 95:45] Like I don't do it for, you know, Joe Schmoe over here who was like oh you fucking suck, you're this or that, blah blah blah, dude get out of here.
[95:45 - 95:48] Hey Seymour, thanks man, I appreciate that dude.
[95:48 - 95:57] And that's another thing too, I know that not everybody's gonna like my artwork but for those that do like my artwork, hey, I'm glad you do.
[95:58 - 96:25] [silence]
[96:25 - 96:34] But yeah man, with that being said guys, I am actually about to pop off here, chill for the night, watch some TV, and probably end up working on some more artwork.
[96:34 - 96:39] So yeah, with that being said, I love you guys, hopefully you guys did enjoy this.

[97:08 - 97:26] And if you haven't done so yet, be sure to check out my merch shop, I will be opening up, on a side note, I will be opening up a whole separate bonfire shop for my art merchandise and my art clothing line specifically.
[97:26 - 97:40] I'm not going to have it in the same shop as my regular stuff. I'm going to open up a whole new thing for the clothing line surrounding my artwork and stuff like that.
[97:40 - 97:58] So that'll be coming, I don't know what. But when it does happen, I will be letting you guys know so y'all can pick that sheet up. And yeah, with that being said, I love you guys and I'll catch you guys tomorrow morning.
[97:58 - 98:08] I'm about to work on some artwork and shit and watch TV and that's open night. So I love you guys. I'll catch you guys in the morning.
[98:08 - 98:18] Shout out to all the new members that dropped in today. What's good guys? Hope y'all had a fun time.
[98:18 - 98:29] And yeah, as I always say to everyone on the channel, if you are new, this is gonna be new for you for everybody else. Y'all already know what I'm saying.
[98:29 - 98:37] Stay humble, stay positive. Keep being yourself, man. Don't change from nobody, man. Keep being awesome and keep being you.
[98:37 - 98:41] I fucking love you guys, man. I'm outta here, y'all. Peace.
