[0:00 - 0:10] What's up ladies and gentlemen, it's your boy Forza Underground and welcome to the first episode in the brand new series that I'm going to be doing.
[0:10 - 0:29] It's called Forza Horizon 4 driving school where I teach you guys about how to drive properly on here, how to tune properly, what you have to do in certain situations and different types of events.
[0:29 - 0:35] For this one, we're going to start out with the 1992 Hoonigan Mazda RX-7 Torx Stallion.
[0:35 - 0:50] And for this one, we're going to be doing a grip event and I'm going to show you guys through a riles event how to do what's called half-breaking, how to enter a corner, how to exit a corner, and all that good stuff.
[0:50 - 0:56] So, with that being said, if you are new to the channel, don't forget to hit that like button and that notification bell down below.
[0:56 - 0:59] And with that being said, let's get started.
[0:59 - 1:06] Now we are going to do an S2 challenge using the Torx Stallion.
[1:06 - 1:12] Now I know what a lot of you are thinking, "Well dude, the Torx Stallion is a drift car, isn't it?"
[1:12 - 1:23] Well, I don't know if you'd be right, but for this one, I wanted to kind of showcase its grip ability.
[1:23 - 1:32] And in case you guys are wondering, yes, I did the route for the Torx Stallion myself.
[1:32 - 1:39] Now, let me just say, let's keep going.
[1:39 - 1:44] Now, as you guys can tell, I'm already in the first gear, hauling ass pretty good.
[1:44 - 1:47] Now, what do you want to do for half-breaking?
[1:47 - 1:55] For half-breaking, you kind of, you do half-way breaking like that.
[1:55 - 2:00] Like you don't fully slam on the brakes and put it in park.
[2:00 - 2:15] You're just merely breaking down half-way, just enough to kind of put you into the corner at the right speed.
[2:15 - 2:25] Now, there are certain corners where you can get away with just letting off the gas.
[2:25 - 2:29] But 90% of the time, you are going to have to half-break.
[2:29 - 2:36] Which half-breaking, like I said, you're not fully slamming down on the brakes.
[2:36 - 2:52] You're doing like I did right there. You're kind of going 50% down on the brake.
[2:52 - 2:58] Like this, like I'm doing here.
[2:58 - 3:00] See, you got half-break into the corner.
[3:00 - 3:07] Now, I know a lot of people think, oh, you know, we'll do it into the corner. No, you have to.
[3:07 - 3:14] You brake right before the corner, and then right when you hit the corner, you turn in.
[3:14 - 3:20] You don't sit there and do like this, because that will happen right there.
[3:20 - 3:23] As you can tell, I messed up. I run from that.
[3:23 - 3:52] Now, you want to half-break into the corner and downshift and turn in and then shift back up as you come out of the corner.
[3:52 - 3:58] See, there was a result of me braking too hard.
[3:58 - 4:21] Now, see, like corners like these ones, you can usually get away with, you know, just kind of speeding through unless that happens.
[4:21 - 4:27] See, as you can tell, I actually beat Tony.
[4:27 - 4:38] Now, we're going to do that same one again using the torque styling once again.
[4:38 - 4:43] My next rival is...
[4:43 - 4:47] Let's see, kind of same style.
[4:47 - 4:52] Alright, so let's do this guy. Now, I'm going to show you guys what a clean run looks like
[4:52 - 4:58] using half-breaking, using downshifting, and all that good stuff.
[4:58 - 5:02] So, let's go.
[5:02 - 5:13] And after this, I will show you guys the proper gearing and tuning that I use
[5:13 - 5:18] in order to get a nice setup.
[5:19 - 6:03] [no speech detected]
[6:03 - 6:08] Now, see right there, you kind of want to be done in first when you do that.
[6:08 - 6:15] And I know I kind of messed up on my clean run, but that's okay.
[6:15 - 6:23] Now, with a jump like that, you always want to hit the brakes
[6:23 - 6:26] on that kind of a jump.
[6:26 - 6:32] Reason being, because more than likely you're going to go into a wall like that if you don't.
[6:32 - 6:52] So, as you guys can tell, I did mess up my clean lap, but
[6:52 - 6:57] you guys get the idea on how to do a proper lap.
[6:57 - 7:14] Now, another technique you guys will end up using a lot, actually, is what's called drafting.
[7:14 - 7:21] Now, drafting is where you kind of, you know, you're driving behind another car
[7:21 - 7:25] and you're gaining speed from that car ahead of you.
[7:25 - 7:31] And using that speed, you can actually slingshot around that other car.
[7:46 - 7:52] And yes, there will be times where you have to stay in a lower gear.
[7:52 - 7:57] There are times where you'll be in a lower gear, and I know what I was going to say.
[7:57 - 8:02] Oh, you know, being in a lower gear doesn't make you faster.
[8:02 - 8:05] Sometimes it does.
[8:13 - 8:17] Sometimes being in a lower gear does make you quicker.
[8:17 - 8:39] Like right here, coming out, let me show you.
[8:40 - 8:45] Like, let's say that you're in super high gear like this, right?
[8:45 - 8:50] As you can tell, you're already gaining speed.
[8:51 - 8:54] You're getting speed.
[8:55 - 8:59] So, you know, you're in super high gear like this, right?
[8:59 - 9:20] Yeah, you're in super high gear like this, right?
[9:20 - 9:38] So, as you can tell, you know, I'm already gaining the speed in the lower gears.
[9:49 - 9:53] And one thing that does irritate me,
[9:53 - 9:59] and I know I spoke about this before, but dude,
[9:59 - 10:07] if you have a wheel set up, keep both hands on the wheel.
[10:07 - 10:15] You're not fucking driving the cruise, you're not driving to have fun.
[10:15 - 10:21] When you're in a race, you keep both hands on the wheel.
[10:21 - 10:34] And I know what a lot of people say, "Oh, well...
[10:34 - 10:40] You're not supposed to have your hands on both sides, you're supposed to have them on top now."
[10:40 - 10:44] When you're racing, you have both hands at the sides.
[10:45 - 10:50] Rezivane, better control.
[10:50 - 10:58] That's everyone that knows.
[10:58 - 11:17] All right, now, let me head back to the garage.
[11:17 - 11:23] I want to show you guys what a proper drag tune looks like.
[11:26 - 11:30] I want to show you guys exactly what a proper drag tune looks like.
[11:30 - 11:36] And, you know, how to go about doing shifting and all that stuff.
[11:36 - 11:41] So, not many people know how to do a proper drag tune.
[11:51 - 11:58] Now, for this one, one of the best drag cars to use is definitely the Chevy Nova Super Sport.
[11:58 - 12:02] So, I'm going to bust that out.
[12:02 - 12:14] And I know a lot of people think the Nova isn't really a good car.
[12:14 - 12:17] Oh, yes it is.
[12:18 - 12:21] First, I'm going to paint it black.
[12:21 - 12:26] Shot to the murdered Nova from a street I lost 100%.
[12:26 - 12:35] Give it that carbon fiber black, looking clean.
[12:35 - 12:42] Let's save it to the current car.
[12:42 - 12:58] Because, like, the one thing that just really irritates me of people is they're always talking about how,
[12:58 - 13:03] "Oh, you have to take and do this and da-da-da-da-da."
[13:03 - 13:11] No, like, being the fastest driver isn't about having the fastest car in the world.
[13:11 - 13:17] It's about taking the proper lines to get to that point.
[13:17 - 13:27] One, two, three, four.
[13:51 - 13:56] Alright, so it's pretty much already tuned, I believe.
[13:56 - 14:01] Alright, yeah, it's already tuned up fully to the max.
[14:01 - 14:10] Alright, now, what we're going to do with this is we're going to go over here.
[14:16 - 14:21] Alright, so it's always sitting on drag slicks, which is good.
[14:21 - 14:35] Now, as you can tell, I have the back ones already wide as hell, and that's how you want it.
[14:35 - 14:40] You want the back ones super wide and the front ones super thin.
[14:42 - 14:46] And you want them like this.
[14:46 - 14:51] You don't want them like that right there, no.
[14:51 - 14:56] You want them super- you want real big, meaty, thick ones.
[14:56 - 15:02] So, take the rim size down all the way down if you haven't done so already.
[15:02 - 15:22] And for most drag cars, you do want rear-wheel drive.
[15:22 - 15:34] So, as you can tell, that didn't even cost you anything, and mostly a drag tune will cost you probably a little over $100,000,
[15:34 - 15:39] depending on what car you have and what kind of tune you're going for.
[15:39 - 15:45] Now, let me show you what kind of tune to use.
[15:46 - 16:02] Now, for this one, you want tire pressure, right about where it's at.
[16:02 - 16:08] You obviously want this thing set for speed, first off.
[16:10 - 16:15] Second off, you want no negative camber.
[16:15 - 16:19] Well, if you want maybe a point negative one camber.
[16:19 - 16:25] Yeah, you want about a point negative camber. Let me see here.
[16:35 - 16:40] Oh, yeah, see, you want that like that.
[16:40 - 16:46] Anti-road bars, you want super soft springs.
[16:46 - 16:50] Okay, now this is where stuff gets interesting.
[16:50 - 16:58] You want soft in the rear, stiff in the front.
[16:58 - 17:04] Now, you want your ride height all the way down.
[17:04 - 17:07] Damping, you want the same thing.
[17:07 - 17:15] You want stiff in the front, soft in the rear.
[17:15 - 17:18] Arrow, here we go.
[17:18 - 17:22] You want both of these on speed.
[17:27 - 17:35] And then braking, you want super high.
[17:35 - 17:43] D-sign XL, you want super high.
[17:43 - 17:55] So as you can tell, I took this thing from about a 237 to 246.4 miles an hour.
[17:55 - 17:58] So that is a proper drag tune.
[17:58 - 18:03] Now, when you do do a drag tune, you always want to use drag so it's on tarmac.
[18:03 - 18:08] On ice, it's a little bit different.
[18:09 - 18:36] Now, for these kinds of things, you do not want your stability on,
[18:36 - 18:41] or your traction because your car is going to grip up automatically.
[18:41 - 18:45] Your car is just going to automatically grip up.
[19:00 - 19:06] Let me show you guys what I mean.
[19:06 - 19:14] This is an S1, so we're going to do that.
[19:14 - 19:32] And we're going to use the murder nova.
[19:32 - 19:53] As you can tell, I got a great launch there.
[19:53 - 20:13] Oh, 0.9 seconds, holy crap.
[20:13 - 20:16] Alright, let's try racing both top and 29 again.
[20:16 - 20:20] I'm going to show you guys what I do.
[20:20 - 20:47] What you want to do is, like, ride from the off.
[20:47 - 20:50] Alright, let me set my clutch real quick.
[20:50 - 21:11] I don't know why I don't have my clutch on.
[21:11 - 21:17] Now, I always use manual, but you can use manual with clutch.
[21:17 - 21:22] Now, what you want to do is, using manual with clutch is a little bit more difficult.
[21:22 - 21:40] Every time you hit the clutch, what you want to do is, you want to hit your clutch and then shift.
[21:40 - 22:09] 70 times, though, a little bit slower there.
[22:09 - 22:31] Now, what I'm going to do is, I'm going to switch over my manual with clutch to a different
[22:31 - 23:00] angle.
[23:00 - 23:25] Now, let's see what key that is missing here.
[23:25 - 23:48] So, as you see, when you use manual with clutch, you always want to hit your clutch
[23:48 - 24:02] and shift.
[24:02 - 24:17] So, now what they're going to do is a proper drag tune.
[24:17 - 24:46] Now, there are other cars that are good.
[24:46 - 24:55] Now, ladies and gentlemen, it's how you do a proper drag tune and grip tune.

[25:18 - 25:23] I'm not sure when, but that will be happening very soon.
