[24:43 - 24:50] Hey, Greasy, what's up?
[24:50 - 24:54] Believe it or not, dude, I actually learned how to play piano.
[24:54 - 25:01] I was a kid a little bit, but I never really got to do it
[25:01 - 25:09] until I started doing music in high school.
[25:09 - 25:14] And once I started getting into music in high school,
[25:14 - 25:18] that's when I started to take piano a little bit more seriously,
[25:18 - 25:24] and I kind of started to teach myself.
[25:24 - 25:27] But the way I learned isn't by playing keys.
[25:27 - 25:30] Like I said, I learned to play piano the same way I learned to play guitar
[25:30 - 25:32] in every other instrument.
[25:32 - 25:37] I play by what I hear vocally and not by keys or chords or strings.
[25:37 - 25:45] I play by what I hear vocally, and then I translate that into keys on a keyboard.
[25:45 - 25:48] Hey, Motel, what's up?
[25:48 - 25:54] Hey, PM, what's good, bro?
[25:54 - 26:09] How you doing, Mike?
[26:09 - 26:11] Well, I want to say I'm a prodigy.
[26:11 - 26:17] I do what I love, you know?
[26:17 - 26:26] I do it because I appreciate the classic stuff, man.
[26:26 - 26:30] And this is the one thing that not a lot of artists appreciate nowadays.
[26:30 - 26:36] They don't really appreciate the true places where music came from.
[26:36 - 26:44] Guys like Beethoven, Bach, Mozart,
[26:44 - 26:48] you know, people like that are the reason music is around.
[26:48 - 26:52] And not a lot of people, you know, understand that.
[26:52 - 26:55] But it's like if it wasn't for them, where would music be?
[26:55 - 27:00] If it wasn't for guys like them, we wouldn't have, you know,
[27:00 - 27:05] like James Brown and guys that do jazz and shit.
[27:05 - 27:08] And then we wouldn't have guys like Elvis.
[27:08 - 27:18] And if we didn't have Elvis, we wouldn't have guys like fucking Nirvana
[27:18 - 27:24] or, you know, Blink 182 or Green Day or all these bands,
[27:24 - 27:29] you know, that came after.
[27:29 - 27:33] Like me, I respect all the bands and the artists that came before me,
[27:33 - 27:37] whether it's from the very beginning or where we're at now.
[27:37 - 27:43] You know, I hold high regard for every band and artist, you know,
[27:43 - 27:49] bands like Lincoln Park who broke major, major grounds in the music industry
[27:49 - 27:55] and who are widely regarded as one of, if the not most important band
[27:55 - 28:01] in music history because they broke so many grounds in what they did,
[28:01 - 28:07] which is why they're so widely respected.
[28:07 - 28:15] Just like with Mozart and Bach and Beethoven and then you got guys,
[28:15 - 28:19] then you got people like Lindsey Sterling and stuff like that,
[28:19 - 28:24] like they're all widely regarded as the best in their place.
[28:24 - 28:31] Just like Suicide Silence, Cradle of Phil, Puddle of Mud,
[28:31 - 28:40] freaking, what did you call it, Five Finger Death Punch,
[28:40 - 28:52] Metallica, fucking, not a lot of people remember this one,
[28:52 - 28:56] but bands like Savage Garden, Backstreet Boys, N'Sync,
[28:56 - 29:10] you know, they're all regarded as one of the best in the industry.
[29:10 - 29:22] Then you got guys like Rage Against the Machine, Shine Down, Coldplay,
[29:22 - 29:29] then you got guys like Skrillex, a guy that I've worked with,
[29:29 - 29:34] not Skrillex but another guy that I've worked with.
[29:34 - 29:38] I can never seem to remember the guy's fucking YouTube name,
[29:38 - 29:40] but he feels a lot of dubstep.
[29:40 - 29:46] You know, guys like Bradley that are coming up are widely regarded.
[29:46 - 29:57] You got bands that I personally know like Sandcat, Sharmera,
[29:57 - 30:03] Wake Me, fucking, you know,
[30:03 - 30:10] like if it wasn't for those bands and those artists from the very, very beginning,
[30:10 - 30:13] where would music be?
[30:13 - 30:16] You know, it's bands like Evanescence that inspired me
[30:16 - 30:19] and got me into the rock scene.
[30:19 - 30:22] And then from there it kind of blew up.
[30:22 - 30:27] But even so, I still love to go back to the classics
[30:27 - 30:33] and modernize it in a sense.
[30:33 - 30:37] I love to take and do piano covers and then take those covers
[30:37 - 30:42] and turn them into an orchestra score that's nothing like the song.
[30:42 - 30:44] I love that.
[30:44 - 30:46] I love constantly creating.
[30:46 - 30:48] I love going back to the classics.
[30:48 - 30:53] A lot of people do it just for whatever.
[30:53 - 30:58] You know, a lot of people do it, you know, and don't really truly appreciate it
[30:58 - 30:59] like on the computer.
[30:59 - 31:04] But me, that's why I do it via like legit piano,
[31:04 - 31:08] whether it be a piano or violin or guitar or whatever.
[31:08 - 31:13] There's nothing better than actually playing that instrument.
[31:13 - 31:17] Well, yes, the piano may be digitized,
[31:17 - 31:20] but it's still at the end of the day a piano.
[31:20 - 31:26] Even though you have to plug it in, it's still an instrument at the end of the day.
[31:26 - 31:29] And just like, I love the feeling of it.
[31:29 - 31:33] I always have, like I love the feeling of, you know,
[31:33 - 31:38] picking up a guitar or violin or, you know, a piano or whatever
[31:38 - 31:45] and just playing and having fun.
[31:45 - 31:49] Not any instrument, like there are some instruments that I do suck at.
[31:49 - 31:56] Like, I will admit I cannot play tuba or trumpet to save my fucking life.
[31:56 - 32:02] I've tried, I suck.
[32:02 - 32:07] Now, like I can, the instruments I can play are piano, guitar,
[32:07 - 32:09] drones and harmonica.
[32:09 - 32:11] I can play those three like the back of my hand.
[32:11 - 32:13] And I do have a harmonica.
[32:13 - 32:32] I just packed away in the boxes down in the basement.
[32:32 - 32:36] God, this scene takes forever, dude.
[32:36 - 32:46] But I even hold high regard for, you know, the guys that did the,
[32:46 - 32:51] and the soundtrack for movies that I grew up on through Studio Jiggly,
[32:51 - 32:59] like Castle in the Airpack, the one that I did as an homage to Studio Jiggly,
[32:59 - 33:00] Castle in the Sky.
[33:00 - 33:08] I did a piece for them to show and pay respects and homage to them.
[33:08 - 33:16] Obviously, I did a few LP ones, like from the inside.
[33:16 - 33:34] No, and there was like one other one, I think. I think it was Crawling, I think.
[33:34 - 33:39] But like, you know, like, I respect, you know, music as a whole.
[33:39 - 33:43] I might not respect what the mainstream does to a lot of artists
[33:43 - 33:47] and how they screw them over a lot of the times.
[33:47 - 33:50] And I might not always agree with the music,
[33:50 - 34:19] but I still respect them as an artist and as a business, you know, I respect that.
[34:19 - 34:25] I actually have, but Marty fucked that over.
[34:25 - 34:29] I actually have had several record deals,
[34:29 - 34:34] but Marty wound up screwing that over for me
[34:34 - 34:40] because they found out what he was doing and did not want to associate me with that.
[34:40 - 34:51] So they unfortunately had to let me go because they saw me as a liability,
[34:51 - 35:01] which kind of sucks. But, you know, at the end of the day, I kind of see it as like,
[35:01 - 35:08] I'm not trying to be too religious here, but for me, all those times those labels turned me down,
[35:08 - 35:11] I saw that as an opportunity.
[35:11 - 35:18] You know, I saw that, you know, you know, God was basically saying, hey, you know,
[35:18 - 35:22] this label isn't for you. This is what you need to be doing.
[35:22 - 35:30] And ultimately, I found my way into music by doing it on my own and going independent
[35:30 - 35:35] and working with guys like my boy, Kale's label, Real Ultimate Power Records,
[35:35 - 35:46] and starting my own label, Fallen Angels Records.
[35:46 - 35:51] You know, I kind of feel like, you know, this is what God put me on this earth to do
[35:51 - 35:55] to create music and help people through my music.
[35:55 - 35:59] You know, I kind of feel like he made me the outcast for a reason.
[35:59 - 36:06] He made me an outcast to society for a reason because he knew what I was capable of doing.
[36:06 - 36:10] He knew what I really wanted to do, which is to help people.
[36:10 - 36:16] And he gave me a way to do that through my music, which led me to creating, you know,
[36:16 - 36:30] Fallen Angels Records for those that are outcasts in society, for those that are, you know, different.
[36:30 - 36:33] And I plan on, dude, I do plan on doing that.
[36:33 - 36:36] I just got to get my banking and shit set up, man.
[36:36 - 36:45] Once I get that all finished up and squared away, it's game on, dude.
[36:45 - 37:04] Now, in fact, let me show you guys a motivational speaker.
[37:04 - 37:15] Like, you guys won't be able to actually see it, but this guy is actually a personal friend of mine
[37:15 - 37:22] who keeps me motivated every day, who, you know, inspires me in what I do.
[37:22 - 37:29] Like, he keeps me grounded and solid.
[37:29 - 37:38] This one is called Flying Higher, it's a motivational speech.
[37:38 - 37:43] It's a message for you guys because it is not so perfect to wake as many people up as I possibly can
[37:43 - 37:48] because I need people to realize whether you're 15 years old or 500 years old
[37:48 - 37:52] that you can still be happy and you can still do things you really want to do
[37:52 - 37:57] because you're not living it. You have your legs, you have your eyes, you have your arms, you're breathing.
[37:57 - 37:59] You're living, baby. Can you realize that?
[37:59 - 38:04] I can't believe it. There's people in the hospital right now dying, fighting for their lives.
[38:04 - 38:09] But you, my friend, are breathing. You just click play. You have things up in the heart.
[38:09 - 38:14] You just click play. Can you realize how many things we take for granted, guys?
[38:14 - 38:18] Number one, we got put on this month by the people we love, and they might have bashed,
[38:18 - 38:22] they might have criticized you, they might have not said the most wonderful things to you
[38:22 - 38:25] over the course of the years, but let's realize one thing, guys.
[38:25 - 38:30] We all want to save things, we all want to be happy, we all want to be wealthy, we all want to succeed.
[38:30 - 38:35] What really matters, what really, really, really matters is your breathing.
[38:35 - 38:39] And the people that love you are breathing. And the people around you are breathing.
[38:39 - 38:44] So there's no reason to be unhappy. There's no reason to think that you can't achieve your dreams,
[38:44 - 38:48] your goals, your missions. Listen, I understand you want to get a great job one day,
[38:48 - 38:53] but a job is somebody else's dream. You have a dream and it's inside of here.
[38:53 - 38:56] I don't care if you want to play on this video. I don't care if you don't like me.
[38:56 - 38:59] I don't care if you've never met me before. I'm here for you. I'm your friend.
[38:59 - 39:01] I believe in you. I believe in every single one of you.
[39:01 - 39:04] Because if you took the time to play on this video, I believe in you.
[39:04 - 39:08] Because if you can play on a video, you're more certain than doing anything you want to,
[39:08 - 39:11] because you're a luncheon. You're breathing. You're living with your eyes.
[39:11 - 39:14] You might not have the best relationship right now.
[39:14 - 39:16] You might not have all the money you want right now.
[39:16 - 39:20] Your family may not be going the way you want them to go right now, but you just know that you care.
[39:20 - 39:23] Live the life you want to live, and it's inside of here.
[39:23 - 39:27] And when you're at home doing the things that you like to do that people don't really notice,
[39:27 - 39:29] or people don't see, because you're not being the real you.
[39:29 - 39:31] Just know that's who you need to be.
[39:31 - 39:35] And if you want to be happy, you've got to start loving yourself, because you are a perfect person.
[39:35 - 39:39] And God can just create you for nothing, and you have a purpose, and it's inside of you.
[39:39 - 39:44] The visions you have, the dreams you have, the goals you have, are real.
[39:44 - 39:47] They are real. They are real.
[39:47 - 39:51] Guys, you know different than Warren Buffett. You know different than Bill Gates.
[39:51 - 39:55] You know different than Obama. You guys are especially important.
[39:55 - 39:58] You're beautiful people. You have a heartbeat, because that's what really matters.
[39:58 - 40:01] A relationship doesn't work off of attraction. That fades away.
[40:01 - 40:05] Have you ever bought something new within a couple of months that's old news?
[40:05 - 40:10] The heart never goes old, but what it does for the old, it dies and never goes back.
[40:10 - 40:13] Just realize you can always go out and get a job.
[40:13 - 40:16] You can always go out and find somebody to hang out with.
[40:16 - 40:20] You can always go meet new people. You can always go find more money.
[40:20 - 40:25] You can always go find more items, cars, clothes, but you can never replace a life,
[40:25 - 40:28] and you can never replace anybody in other words who you are in this world.
[40:28 - 40:32] Because they are the reasons why you're walking, talking, living, and breathing.
[40:32 - 40:36] Your ownership, your parents, your friends, your family, the ones that are there for you when you're broke,
[40:36 - 40:39] the ones that are there for you when you're down, the ones that are there for you,
[40:39 - 40:42] and it really matters them to be. You need to be surrounding yourself around,
[40:42 - 40:46] because life is too fucking short to worry about what people think about you guys.
[40:46 - 40:49] It's hard for my language, but it's the truth. It's the truth.
[40:49 - 40:52] If somebody's being mean to you, if somebody's hurting your feelings,
[40:52 - 40:55] if somebody's controlling you, just know they're miserable guys.
[40:55 - 40:56] Please just know they're miserable.
[40:56 - 41:01] It might be if they have a million dollars and they're being a right person to a stranger.
[41:01 - 41:03] What do you call them? There's no difference.
[41:03 - 41:06] They have more money than you, but they're not living any longer than you.
[41:06 - 41:08] They're still going to die against what they've done.
[41:08 - 41:10] They're going to die to say what you've done with nothing.
[41:10 - 41:14] They came into this world with nothing, so don't let people think they're better than you.
[41:14 - 41:16] Don't let people think they're greater than you.
[41:16 - 41:19] You are great. You are intelligent. You have everything you need to succeed.
[41:19 - 41:21] If you don't believe it, you're never going to achieve it, guys.
[41:21 - 41:23] If you can vision it, it takes one vision.
[41:23 - 41:27] It takes one goal. It takes one dream to be happy.
[41:27 - 41:30] At the end of the night, before you go to sleep,
[41:30 - 41:33] you're thinking about all things running around your brain,
[41:33 - 41:36] like, "Where am I at? What am I doing? How do I do this?"
[41:36 - 41:41] Just know. You know where to go. Just know. You know what to do.
[41:41 - 41:46] You need the direction on you inside of you.
[41:46 - 41:50] I don't know what you're waiting for, and I'm talking to every single one of you.
[41:50 - 41:54] Your direction, your guidance, you need to follow it.
[41:54 - 41:57] When you follow it, you're starting to feel like you're failing.
[41:57 - 42:01] That's okay, because to have these people in the world go through a lot of failures,
[42:01 - 42:04] a lot of battles, and you will forever deal with tough situations, guys,
[42:04 - 42:09] but there's light at the end of the tunnel, because you're no different than any one of us,
[42:09 - 42:11] and I'm no different than you.
[42:11 - 42:18] And that's facts, man. That's real fucking facts.
[42:18 - 42:23] That is real fucking facts, dude.
[42:23 - 42:27] He's helped me through a lot of tough shit, man.
[42:27 - 42:34] Anthony, he's honestly, him and my brother Sean are two of the closest people to me,
[42:34 - 42:41] besides from, obviously, my girlfriend, Tange, they're two of the closest people in my life.
[42:41 - 42:47] They really keep me grounded and keep me motivated, and obviously, you can see why.
[42:47 - 42:54] I've done stuff with Sean before, man. I've worked with him on a lot of stuff.
[42:54 - 42:58] He's been my best friend for almost 20 years, man.
[42:58 - 43:03] Sean, he's more than just a best friend, dude. He's family to me.
[43:03 - 43:08] When times are tough, bro, he's always there to tell me, "Yo, you got this.
[43:08 - 43:13] Stay positive, man. Don't give up. You got this. Keep it going."
[43:13 - 43:21] No, I didn't. I actually didn't do that one for him.
[43:21 - 43:25] But I do want to kind of make you guys...
[43:30 - 43:35] I do want to make you guys laugh with a song that me and Sean actually did do.
[43:35 - 43:41] I actually did the instrumental for this one, which I promise you guys, you're going to laugh.
[43:41 - 43:46] I can promise you that, man. You guys are going to laugh.
[43:46 - 43:54] This is what you get when me and him are bored, and literally have nothing better to do.
[43:54 - 43:59] Let's see if I can pull it up here.
[44:00 - 44:08] This is literally what you get when me and my brother Sean get super-freaking bored.
[44:08 - 44:21] If you guys want the video, if you guys want the link, I will send it to you guys.
[44:28 - 44:31] I promise you all are going to laugh.
[44:31 - 44:47] I can't link it back to the new video.
[44:47 - 44:51] If you guys want the video, I'll send it to you.
[44:51 - 45:12] I agree. Y'all can't tell you ain't laughing at this shit.
[45:13 - 45:16] I'm talking cash on my money phone.
[45:16 - 45:24] Y'all can't tell you ain't laughing right now, bro.
[45:25 - 46:54] I can't tell you ain't laughing right now, bro.
[46:54 - 46:56] I want a fucking turkey sandwich now.
[46:56 - 46:57] Thanks a lot.
[46:57 - 47:16] Like it does that every time.
[47:16 - 47:18] Like and he did a part two to that, which is pretty cool.
[47:18 - 47:38] Like the shit's funniest fuck, bro.
[47:38 - 47:43] Like he had this whole thing called Sean's play, which it was called the Sean show.
[47:43 - 47:47] Like he did it for like the longest time on Facebook.
[47:47 - 47:49] On YouTube.
[47:49 - 47:57] And we did like about I think three or four seasons of it.
[47:57 - 48:01] And we've been talking about doing a season four, though.
[48:01 - 48:03] Like that's just, you know, us talking.
[48:03 - 48:06] Like we're not sure when we're going to do it or how we're going to do it with the pandemic.
[48:06 - 48:10] But we do want to do a season five, like a season four or five.
[48:10 - 48:12] Like I said, I can't remember what season we left off on.
[48:12 - 48:16] But, you know, we do want to do a new season for sure.
[48:16 - 48:21] Now, I haven't been in any of the episodes yet, but like he does want to come down here.
[48:21 - 48:26] And we do want to film the Sean show and have some fun and stuff like that.
[48:26 - 48:36] I think it'll be really cool.
[48:36 - 48:45] But on the mental health side of things, I think this right here is a video that everybody needs to listen to and or see.
[48:45 - 49:03] At least once in that life.
[49:03 - 49:09] I don't know if anybody out there can relate, but like I have a hard time with life sometimes.
[49:09 - 49:12] Sometimes it's great, but a lot of times for me, it's really hard.
[49:12 - 49:19] And no matter how I'm feeling, like I always find myself like struggling with certain patterns of behavior.
[49:19 - 49:25] I find myself stuck in the same thing that keeps repeating over and over again.
[49:25 - 49:28] And I'm just like, how am I in this?
[49:28 - 49:36] It's that moment where you're in it and then you kind of separate yourself from that situation and you look at it and you see it for what it is.
[49:36 - 49:39] And you're able to then do something about it.
[49:39 - 49:44] Like you you've now broken out of that that circle, that cycle.
[49:44 - 49:52] And are you kind of first the first couple of lines on the track make me think they were like overthinking things in your life.
[49:52 - 50:00] I mean, I mean, honestly, like there's so many there's so many circumstances that for me that relate to the situation.
[50:00 - 50:08] But like I know that for me, when I'm inside myself and I'm in my own head, it gets this place right here.
[50:08 - 50:12] This this skull between my ears, that is a bad neighborhood.
[50:12 - 50:16] I am. I should not be in there alone.
[50:16 - 50:21] I mean, I can't be in there by myself. You're talking about it just just insane.
[50:21 - 50:26] It's crazy in here is a bad place for me to be by myself.
[50:26 - 50:31] And so when I'm in that, like I get I my whole life gets thrown off.
[50:31 - 50:34] Like if I'm in there, like I don't say nice things to myself.
[50:34 - 50:38] Like there's another Chester in there that's like wants to take me down.
[50:38 - 50:48] And so and I find that it could be whether it's substances or whether it's behavior or whether it's like depressive stuff or whatever it is.
[50:48 - 50:59] Like if I'm not like actively like doing getting out of myself and being with other people like being a dad, being a husband, being a bandmate, like being a friend, helping someone out.
[50:59 - 51:04] Like if I'm not if I'm out of myself, I'm great.
[51:04 - 51:08] If I'm inside all the time, I'm horrible on this.
[51:08 - 51:16] And so for me, it's like that was kind of where I don't like my mind right now stacking up problems that are so unnecessary.
[51:16 - 51:20] You know, that's where that kind of that was where that came from for me.
[51:20 - 51:28] And and that's but it's the moment where it's like, really, like I drive myself nuts.
[51:28 - 51:35] Like actually thinking that like all these are real problems, like all the stuff that's going on here is actually just I'm doing this to myself.
[51:35 - 51:39] And regardless of whatever that thing is.
[51:39 - 51:42] So this is that like conscious awareness of that thing.
[51:42 - 51:47] And like when you when you can step back and look at something like you're actually elevating yourself consciously.
[51:47 - 51:51] Like you're you're you're enlightened at that point, right to a certain degree.
[51:51 - 51:56] And so this is that moment of enlightenment where you go, you know, I could do something about this.
[51:56 - 51:58] And by doing it, I can move forward and get on stuff.
[51:58 - 52:01] And I can actually do it.
[52:01 - 52:04] For me, it's like I can live with life on life's terms.
[52:04 - 52:12] Like I can experience the whole spectrum of humanity and not want to get out of it, whether it's happiness, sadness or whatever.
[52:12 - 52:17] I just want to like I when I'm in it, I just want to get out of power.
[52:17 - 52:22] So when you wrote this song, you were clearly in that bad neighborhood in your brain.
[52:22 - 52:25] Or this time last year, I was a mess.
[52:25 - 52:30] I got a total wreck, you know, and like, I think for a lot of people, I think like you're successful.
[52:30 - 52:38] Like all of a sudden, like you get like you get like some car in the mail that says, like, you're going to be totally satisfied and happy for the rest of your life.
[52:38 - 52:43] It doesn't happen like life for me happens.
[52:43 - 52:52] The way it always it's my only difference is I'm in Lincoln Park, like what goes on inside my head is always been always been.
[52:52 - 52:54] So I'm not working on that.
[52:54 - 52:56] Like my life is messy.
[52:56 - 53:07] And that's kind of the how the inspiration for all these songs came from conversations about life and what was going on as friends,
[53:07 - 53:18] as husbands, fathers, as, you know, whatever business partners, like we were all talking about what was going on in all aspects of our lives at certain times throughout the process of this record.
[53:18 - 53:25] And we realized like we've all gone through like some really crazy stuff and we don't need to find the source of inspiration.
[53:25 - 53:26] Like what's this record about?
[53:26 - 53:29] Like this is our life.
[53:29 - 53:33] We always have written about our lives and like that should just be enough.
[53:33 - 53:35] We don't need to find some new thing.
[53:35 - 53:39] Like life is always throwing these like curveballs at you, whether they're good or bad.
[53:39 - 53:41] Like it just happens.
[53:41 - 53:49] And eventually what I found is, especially with the bad stuff, because that's the stuff that I kind of lean and that's the stuff that sticks to me a little bit more.
[53:49 - 53:54] Coming out of the other side and being like, man, I'm a better person because of that.
[53:54 - 53:56] I'm more compassionate because of that.
[53:56 - 54:04] Or, you know, I can understand, I feel like I understand people or humanity a little bit differently because I've been through some pretty crazy stuff.
[54:04 - 54:06] And that's a positive.
[54:06 - 54:10] So finding the positive in all these things, that's what we always try to do.
[54:10 - 54:14] But we still talk about the feelings we had going through all these different circumstances.
[54:14 - 54:20] I can honestly say I couldn't put that any better myself, dude.
[54:20 - 54:22] Like I really can't.
[54:22 - 54:25] Why is that right there?
[54:25 - 54:28] Hands down is the fact.
[54:29 - 54:32] Oh, am I going to buy a tour bus?
[54:32 - 54:37] Oh, that's actually a good idea.
[54:37 - 54:39] Yo, greasy.
[54:39 - 54:46] What I want to what I want greasy, dude.
[54:46 - 54:58] I can't buy now.
[54:58 - 55:00] Oh, there we go on high.
[55:00 - 55:02] There we go.
[55:02 - 55:06] But am I going to buy a tour bus when I get the money?
[55:06 - 55:08] Yes.
[55:08 - 55:11] But dude, I'm a long ways off from that.
[55:11 - 55:22] Yeah.
[55:22 - 55:28] Thanks, man.
[55:28 - 55:32] Yeah, Mitch, what's up, bro?
[55:32 - 55:34] Yeah, I just don't hit him.
[55:34 - 55:37] So.
[55:37 - 55:39] Yeah.
[55:39 - 55:48] That right there is so true, you know, and that's how I am, you know, like.
[55:48 - 55:54] You know how he is is how I am, ultimately.
[55:54 - 56:05] Like, you know, when I'm not doing my music or hanging out with you guys or hanging out with my friends or family, like, when I'm inside myself, like, I'm a total wreck.
[56:05 - 56:10] Like, I'm always depressed. I always overthink things. I always worry about shit.
[56:10 - 56:13] Like, that's how it is.
[56:13 - 56:15] Oh, dude, Jerry, you're fine, dude.
[56:15 - 56:17] I know that it was an accident. You're good.
[56:17 - 56:20] Accidents happen, bro.
[56:20 - 56:37] It's all good.
[56:37 - 57:01] Now, for those of you that are having trouble.
[57:01 - 57:11] About what people say to you guys, I want to play you guys a video. It's like it's like 16 minutes long.
[57:11 - 57:40] But this video helped me a lot, actually, and it's a big reason is to why I don't really care about what people think of me when it comes to what I do.
[57:40 - 57:46] You should go back to me.
[57:46 - 57:54] Now, what I'm about to say is not strictly associated with dressing the way that I do or dressing the way that I do out there or just dressing a certain way.
[57:54 - 57:59] This mindset that I'm about to share with you can be applied to pretty much every aspect of your life.
[57:59 - 58:15] In fact, there are entire books dedicated to this subject. A book I have not read so much are going to give you my own opinion on this mindset, a mindset that will make sure, guarantee that you will be at least a little bit happier with your life from this video onwards.
[58:15 - 58:23] I will use some real life examples, examples of myself, examples of friends, examples of strangers I've spoken to, perhaps maybe if I can think of any.
[58:23 - 58:31] You may think that not giving a shit is actually part and parcel of who you are. Maybe some people just don't care or some people care immensely.
[58:31 - 58:38] Personally, I think it's a bit of both. I think perhaps some of it is nature, some of it is nurture. You have to nurture a part of your nature.
[58:38 - 58:50] So I've told many story times on this channel detailing my crappy school life, how badly I wanted to be part of a friend group and how it wasn't so much that I cared what they thought it was more just I wanted to be part of a friend group.
[58:50 - 58:58] Now I have had negative reviews of social interactions I've had with people. Jake can be a little bit too intense. Jake can talk too much. I wish he'd stop trying to debate video games.
[58:58 - 59:04] And yes, all these things at some point in my life whenever I heard them from other people did make me feel a little bit self-conscious.
[59:04 - 59:08] And it did get me down for quite some time, not any time recently, but it did get me down.
[59:08 - 59:19] I thought, man, I have to change these things about myself. And yet every single time I would get into another social interaction, I would have the same problem I could see and hear myself doing it.
[59:19 - 59:31] Again. But here's the really important part, ladies and gentlemen, and that is I had some fantastic social interactions with people being that person, and I had some bad social interactions being that person.
[59:31 - 59:41] And you know what I realized? Not everyone is going to like you. I tried to change. I tried to dumb down parts of my personality that some people didn't like.
[59:41 - 59:48] And guess what? That just leaves you sort of lacking in the personality department because you are too afraid to do anything that might possibly offend someone.
[59:48 - 59:52] I have great friends. I do. I don't have a lot of them, but that's my choice.
[59:52 - 60:00] We all have friends and people in our lives that we think, man, they would be so much better if they just didn't have that aspect to their personality.
[60:00 - 60:02] But we're still friends with them. We still love them.
[60:02 - 60:10] And that is because human beings have many different aspects to their personalities and their lives, both through nature and nature.
[60:10 - 60:19] And the best way to go through life is to not only accept people for who they are, but also accept you for who you are because you're special.
[60:19 - 60:21] Though not that special. Don't let it go to your head.
[60:21 - 60:26] With over several million people on this planet and growing, there's bound to be a couple of double gangers, don't you think?
[60:26 - 60:28] For sure. There's another one of me out there somewhere.
[60:28 - 60:35] And this actually leads in to the title of the video, and that is how to stop giving a shit.
[60:35 - 60:39] Other titles include how to stop giving a flying, how to not give a rat.
[60:39 - 60:43] How to not give a soggy fuck about what people think among various other title ideas.
[60:43 - 60:50] And that is if you have tried to change yourself and you have failed and it's making you miserable because you think you're a bad person.
[60:50 - 60:52] Well, guess what? You're not a bad person.
[60:52 - 60:57] You've just been dealing with people who don't mesh with the person that you are.
[60:57 - 61:05] And therefore, if you become comfortable in yourself, I know the negative aspects of my personality and I have tried to change them and I can't.
[61:05 - 61:11] And therefore, I've accepted that that is part of who I am. And yet, I still have friends and people who love me.
[61:11 - 61:14] Because despite my appearance, I am a human being.
[61:14 - 61:23] And once you accept yourself and you accept that concept, it is so much easier to go through life without giving a shit.
[61:23 - 61:28] Let me give you a general rule of thumb. Let me give you like a snap thought that you can apply to pretty much any situation.
[61:28 - 61:30] Whenever someone says you cannot do something, right?
[61:30 - 61:34] That is someone thinking that you are unable to do something.
[61:34 - 61:37] Whether it comes from jealousy because they think you actually can and they don't want to tell you.
[61:37 - 61:40] Shame of their own lack of motivation to go and do something with their lives.
[61:40 - 61:42] Fear that you may be more successful to them.
[61:42 - 61:45] There's many different reasons why people will tell you that you cannot do something.
[61:45 - 61:51] OK, so here it is. Here is the top secret that you can apply to any situation where someone is like,
[61:51 - 61:59] "Oh, I think you look like this. I think you that. I think you can't make it. I can't, but I think I think about you."
[61:59 - 62:04] Right? You say to yourself or to this asshole out loud, it's your choice.
[62:04 - 62:10] Fortunately, I don't need you to think I can do it in order to do it.
[62:10 - 62:15] Here's an example. "Oh, you dress like that, but you're actually not that unique. I don't think you're very unique."
[62:15 - 62:21] Luckily, asshole in my comment section, I don't need you to think I'm unique for me to feel and be unique.
[62:21 - 62:25] Boom. Diffused. Negated. They are defeated and destroyed.
[62:25 - 62:29] You want to be a freelance artist. You want to draw pictures for people, people like me.
[62:29 - 62:35] Or maybe for people who are far more important and successful than me, like a brand or a company or whatever.
[62:35 - 62:41] And that you say this to someone, right? And they say, "You can't do that. I don't think you're going to be able to do that."
[62:41 - 62:43] That's far beyond what you're--
[62:43 - 62:47] Wow.
[62:47 - 62:55] My girl is a fan now, daily. All right, this literally does all the work for you. With my busy hectic face.
[62:55 - 63:07] Well, you're capable of, and you say, "I don't need you to think I'm capable of doing it in order for me to do it."
[63:07 - 63:11] Whether you succeed or you don't succeed, at least you tried.
[63:11 - 63:15] And I know the fear of failing is just so immense.
[63:15 - 63:18] It outweighs almost the motivation to do it, you know?
[63:18 - 63:22] But I read this book, and I came up with the name of the book, it's something like how to deal with pressure.
[63:22 - 63:28] And I read something very, very key, very important, very pertinent, something very poignant, and it was this.
[63:28 - 63:36] It was talking about the concept of thinking everything that could go wrong, everything bad that could happen,
[63:36 - 63:42] everything negative that could possibly happen in a situation of something that you're trying to achieve or trying to do,
[63:42 - 63:50] whether it be performing on stage or releasing a song or trying to be a popular artist or trying to be a YouTuber or blah, blah, blah, blah,
[63:50 - 63:53] and set goal or desired vocation here.
[63:53 - 63:55] You basically flip your thinking on it.
[63:55 - 63:59] In layman's terms, you go from a glass that is half empty to half full.
[63:59 - 64:02] You are thinking about everything that could possibly go wrong.
[64:02 - 64:06] And because you're thinking of everything that could possibly go wrong, you think that everything is going to go wrong.
[64:06 - 64:10] In fact, if you focus on things going wrong enough, things might just go wrong.
[64:10 - 64:12] So what I want you to do is flip it.
[64:12 - 64:15] I just want you to immediately stop doing it.
[64:15 - 64:17] See what my hand is doing?
[64:17 - 64:18] Flip.
[64:18 - 64:25] In case it's not clear, instead of focusing on everything that could go wrong, therefore giving you even more anxiety and putting even more pressure on,
[64:25 - 64:31] instead I want you to think of everything that could go right, which is most likely going to be the outcome.
[64:31 - 64:37] Oh, what if I get on stage and I play the wrong notes and I can't sing and everything breaks and we mess up a song halfway through
[64:37 - 64:39] and we're on the stage in front of everyone.
[64:39 - 64:40] Relax.
[64:40 - 64:45] Instead think, man, what if we go on stage and we play the songs perfectly
[64:45 - 64:51] and we perform incredibly outstanding performance that people would talk about for years to come.
[64:51 - 64:53] You will find that your anxiety levels will dip.
[64:53 - 65:02] Most certainly do try everything in your best efforts to make sure that you perform well or draw well or whatever it is that you need to do on the day
[65:02 - 65:05] or in order to pursue your goal.
[65:05 - 65:10] But if you are in the situation, it means you are pursuing something that you want out of life.
[65:10 - 65:11] And that is good.
[65:11 - 65:12] That's positive.
[65:12 - 65:15] You should be excited and happy that you're doing it.
[65:15 - 65:19] So think about what you're doing positively.
[65:19 - 65:25] Otherwise, in every single pursuit of what you want to achieve, if you think about the negative things that could possibly happen,
[65:25 - 65:32] you're going to make yourself anxious and you're going to give yourself a very negative view of the thing that you set out to achieve.
[65:32 - 65:33] And you don't want that.
[65:33 - 65:37] You don't want to assign your goal and your dream with something negative.
[65:37 - 65:38] Look, don't get me wrong.
[65:38 - 65:41] If you have anxiety, of course, these things are going to be much harder for you to deal with.
[65:41 - 65:43] But this is actually a concept of something else.
[65:43 - 65:48] This is all about dealing with pressure and the fear of failing.
[65:48 - 65:56] But primarily, I want to talk about not giving because you can achieve almost anything as long as you adopt this mindset of not caring what people think.
[65:56 - 65:59] Because I don't care what people think, clearly.
[65:59 - 66:09] So allow me to address some of the comments that I have got inspired by seeing videos of me not only dressing like this, but also dressing like this out in the real world.
[66:09 - 66:14] And that is caring too much what people will think or how they will react when they see you.
[66:14 - 66:15] Look, don't get me wrong.
[66:15 - 66:18] I've had rocks thrown at me, fireworks thrown at me.
[66:18 - 66:26] I've actually had a little carton of gravy chips or fries, a few Americans, thrown at me as I've gotten onto a bus to go into town.
[66:26 - 66:27] Luckily, they miss.
[66:27 - 66:29] I've had people cackle as I walk by.
[66:29 - 66:33] I've heard people audibly convey confusion.
[66:33 - 66:34] What the fuck?
[66:34 - 66:38] And all of it is worth it because I get to feel comfortable in my own skin.
[66:38 - 66:42] I get to feel proud and confident in being who I am.
[66:42 - 66:49] Some sniveling little peasant is not going to bother me to the point where I'm going to not be myself.
[66:49 - 66:53] The world is so much bigger than that, and life is so much more important than that.
[66:53 - 66:57] Because you see, these small-minded individuals very rarely get anywhere in their lives.
[66:57 - 67:07] I kind of like to think about that whenever I get laughed at or jeered or have something thrown at me or people leave crappy comments or whatever it is.
[67:07 - 67:12] You know, sometimes I do like to think like, well, screw you, I like to be who I am and I'm not going to let you stop me.
[67:12 - 67:13] That's a very positive way.
[67:13 - 67:17] But sometimes I do like to delve into a little more of a revenge fantasy.
[67:17 - 67:22] And by revenge fantasy, I mean revenge reality that I acknowledge in my head.
[67:22 - 67:26] And that is, well, you're going nowhere with your life.
[67:26 - 67:32] These shit-eating chavs will die with nothing, and I will have everything.
[67:32 - 67:34] And it's the same with hate comments, too.
[67:34 - 67:35] They don't affect me.
[67:35 - 67:37] You know, I delete them for your benefit.
[67:37 - 67:44] But whenever I get hate comments or people just being stupid in the comments section and I read it, the same thought process goes to my head.
[67:44 - 67:51] It is just slightly different because it's a lot more specific to the situation of leaving a hate comment on a complete stranger's video.
[67:51 - 67:52] And it's this.
[67:52 - 67:57] What kind of miserable, angry piece of shit must you be to go on to the...
[67:57 - 68:01] I chose the nighttime aligners because it's so easy.
[68:01 - 68:05] It's hard to find time to go to the dentist with a busy schedule.
[68:08 - 68:14] Go on to the video of something you know you're going to hate and leave a comment saying how much you hate them.
[68:14 - 68:24] And here's the best bit because they clicked on the video and then left a comment and then most likely disliked the video.
[68:24 - 68:32] That is three levels of engagement with my video, which means they are only going to be seeing more of me in their recommended.
[68:32 - 68:35] And that is just delicious to me.
[68:35 - 68:46] But you know, I also completely, you know, negates and diffuses hate comments is that there is only one time in my life I have ever left a negative or a comment on someone else's video.
[68:46 - 68:55] And that was when I was in the lowest point in my life because that is the only place you could ever be in mentally that could make you do something like that.
[68:55 - 68:57] If you don't like something, then you don't say anything.
[68:57 - 69:04] If you like something, then you can say something positive, such as the mindset of healthy people who are in good places in their lives or at least have a good mental grasp.
[69:04 - 69:11] Of the things in their lives or at least appreciate the content that they're saying that could be helping them with their lives.
[69:11 - 69:25] But in order to seek something out and leave a crappy comment on it or in order to look at someone in public and shout something at them, you have to be really insecure or in a place in your life because happy people don't do things like this.
[69:25 - 69:35] Happy people don't leave negative comments. Happy people content people with their own lives don't shout at unique strangers in the streets.
[69:35 - 69:39] No, these are actions reserved for unhappy and sad people.
[69:39 - 69:50] So when I receive negative criticism in the streets or if I receive negative criticism about my videos or the way I look, usually the way I look, not about how the video is, it's usually about how I look in the comments section.
[69:50 - 69:56] I just think I've already won my life. It's far more fulfilled and happier than that because I would not do that to them.
[69:56 - 70:07] And once you realize that negative reactions to you usually come from people who are in negative places in their lives, you just need to have a little bit of perspective.
[70:07 - 70:16] Acknowledge that you are living your life the way you want to live it and some people are going to react negatively to that for reasons stated previously in this video.
[70:16 - 70:22] Never ever let the passing comments of complete arseholes get in the way of who you want to be.
[70:22 - 70:29] Like if it's too damn short, so what does it matter? Ten years will pass and you would have changed your entire life based off one idiot's opinion.
[70:29 - 70:33] When you think about it on that scale, doesn't that sound ridiculous?
[70:33 - 70:41] You just assaulted your entire life because of the negative opinions of a few people. What does it matter? What do their opinions matter?
[70:41 - 70:51] That could be people leaving crappy comments on this video. In fact, I still get crappy comments. I don't care.
[70:51 - 70:56] Do I need to say anything else?
[70:56 - 71:00] Do I really need to say anything else about the whole Marty situation?
[71:00 - 71:09] That's how I feel about the Marty situation. My life is going good.
[71:09 - 71:16] My life isn't a good place. My music's starting to take off. I got a wonderful girlfriend. I got a wonderful family.
[71:16 - 71:25] You know, I got all these things going for me. Like, Marty, you're miserable as fuck, bro.
[71:25 - 71:35] Like, if you want to be happy, quit the shit you're doing.
[71:35 - 71:44] And if people laugh at me because I like to wear my gothic clothing, you know, my gothic slash emo clothing every now and then,
[71:44 - 71:53] or my fucking cybergoth goggles every now and then, I don't care.
[71:53 - 72:02] Like, you know, I don't care what people think or do.
[72:02 - 72:08] When it comes to being negative, like, why do you think I fuck with guys like Jake Monroe?
[72:08 - 72:20] Because Jake Monroe, he's a real fucking dude. Like, he's cool as shit.
[72:20 - 72:37] Exactly. Like, you know, whether it's an art stream or whatever, you know, I'm still going to do me at the end of the day, man.
[72:37 - 72:47] Like, I just found the other armpiece. I could throw my freaking arm on his arm so I'm fucking on his ice cold.
[72:47 - 72:50] I need to throw them on.
[72:50 - 73:09] Let it go. Ah, there it is.
[73:09 - 73:16] And, you know, there's another thing that Marty doesn't even realize.
[73:16 - 73:24] Which I do find kind of ironic is this.
[73:24 - 73:28] Sorry, I had to throw these on because it's fucking ice cold out. It's fucking snowing.
[73:28 - 73:34] And look at how I'm drafting it inside. I had to throw these on, but come through, I love it.
[73:34 - 73:40] Shout out to my best friend Sam for sending me these. Fucking love it.
[73:40 - 73:45] Yeah, I know. I've been, I've actually got a cousin that owns his own tattoo shop up in Alaska.
[73:45 - 73:50] As soon as I get the money, I do plan on going up there to see him and getting some work done.
[73:50 - 73:53] Because I do have a few tattoo designs done out.
[73:53 - 74:08] I just got to, like I said, get the money to get the, go up to my cousin Jason's shop up in Alaska and have him do my work.
[74:08 - 74:17] But, you know, I just find it funny that, you know, like something that Marty doesn't realize is this.
[74:17 - 74:22] Y'all know about this already by now, and I find it funny.
[74:22 - 74:40] Like he thinks that by stealing my songs and my music and uploading them to torrented sites, that it's going to change people buying my new rock album that's dropping here this month.
[74:40 - 74:43] That's not going to change shit.
[74:43 - 74:55] Like you think that just because you upload my music to a torrent site that I'm not going to make money, that people aren't going to check my music out, they're going to do the exact opposite.
[74:55 - 75:02] You're literally giving me free promotion. That's literally free promo for all my songs.
[75:02 - 75:12] Like if you don't want me to succeed, then don't be easier for you to just not buy my album.
[75:12 - 75:16] But people want to see me succeed.
[75:16 - 75:18] They see what I can do.
[75:18 - 75:20] They see that I actually try to help people.
[75:20 - 75:26] They see I try to help them and they gravitate towards my music for those reasons.
[75:26 - 75:48] Because I try to spend positivity, you know, I try to spend my time bringing about positivity, bringing about, you know, things that can actually help people.
[75:48 - 76:00] And while you're over there spreading all this positivity and attacking me, well, I wouldn't say worldwide, but we'll get to that.
[76:00 - 76:04] Like it'll get to that point where my music will sell worldwide.
[76:04 - 76:28] Like that will happen at some point, but still point being, dude, like you think that by talking shit on me and attacking me and doing all this stuff, that it's gonna stop me.
[76:28 - 76:39] Like how is you talking shit on me going to affect me? If anything, I have gained more subscribers from you talking shit.
[76:39 - 76:49] Like people have actually come to my channel, watched what I do, and now have a complete utter hatred for you because of what you've done.
[76:49 - 77:01] Like they actually follow my shit and are legitimately, you know, impressed by what I can do, the stuff I'm able to accomplish.
[77:01 - 77:16] Like, do you not see how idiotic and dumb you're just making yourself with, bro? Like you're literally screwing yourself over.
[77:16 - 77:25] Like if you don't like my work or you don't want to want to see me succeed, that's a very simple thing to do.
[77:25 - 77:37] It's called not watching my videos. It's called don't give me play time as far as watching my stuff goes.
[77:37 - 77:51] But even you re-streaming my streams, which I'm pretty sure you're doing with this one too, like you're ultimately just giving me free play and views.
[77:51 - 78:01] Honestly, bro, like I'd love to do that, but like, you know, I'm not on that level yet.
[78:01 - 78:07] But like working with Upchurch in the future, like, that'd be cool.
[78:07 - 78:13] Like, I would definitely love to work with Upchurch, like, for sure, that'd be cool.
[78:13 - 78:24] Okay, I've gotten to play, you know, Warzone with him a time or two and whatnot, and he's a really cool guy.
[78:24 - 78:32] Like, he's really nice. Like, he's a super... Honestly, dude, Upchurch is one of the most laid-back motherfuckers that, you know,
[78:32 - 78:39] I actually can say I've gotten to hang out with, you know, doing gaming and shit. Like, he's a super cool dude.
[78:39 - 78:45] Like, there's a few times where he hopped into some lobbies where me and some friends of mine were at on Warzone.
[78:45 - 78:55] And like, he's just a laid-back, chill motherfucker. Like, he's super cool. Like, you know, he's a really cool dude.
[78:55 - 79:03] Like, he's goofy. Like, you think me and my brother Jake, when we rested around on that stream, you thought that was goofy?
[79:03 - 79:16] Bro, like, yo, you get Upchurch in there, man, shit's gonna go crazy, bro. Like, he's one of the goofiest dudes on there, like, hands down.
[79:16 - 79:27] But that's what I respect about him. He doesn't let his fame go to his head. Like, he acts like a normal person.
[79:27 - 79:33] Like, you know, me and you and everybody else, like, he acts like a normal dude.
[79:33 - 79:45] Like, he's a cool-ass dude. Like, he's a normal guy. Like, and that's what I like to see, man.
[79:45 - 79:49] I like to see guys like that and artists like that that are humble.
[79:49 - 79:57] Like, what I can't respect are people like Marty that think they're so above everyone and better than anyone.
[79:57 - 80:04] And they feel like they can just turn around and push people around and fuck with them for no reason.
[80:04 - 80:08] It's like, dude, you're not gonna get anywhere that way.
[80:08 - 80:13] I mean, look at where being humble has gotten me.
[80:18 - 80:21] Like, look where being humble has gotten me.
[80:21 - 80:31] You know, being humble has gotten me onto a label with my boy, Kale, who's a cool-ass motherfucker.
[80:31 - 80:39] It's gotten me onto a label
