[0:00 - 0:08] So a lot of people actually have a good question about this label that I'm gonna be starting out very soon with some of my best friends and
[0:08 - 0:12] Some that are actually brothers to me
[0:12 - 0:21] A lot of people were asking me one question in particular that's very good, which is from Classic Games Canada
[0:21 - 0:29] Will we be signing any contracts and how do we go about getting paid? Here's the thing
[0:30 - 0:37] As far as contracts go there will be no contracts unless you absolutely want to sign one
[0:37 - 0:43] Like if you want to sign one you can but if not, that's totally cool. You don't have to
[0:43 - 0:52] But as far as payment goes, I'll be taking about 30% payment for the stuff and that's it
[0:53 - 1:01] Now we won't be getting paid right away, but we can build up to that point with the right promotion, the right people
[1:01 - 1:05] You know, the right networking
[1:05 - 1:12] And that's what I'm looking for. I'm looking for artists that are serious, that are business savvy, that know how to get the job done
[1:12 - 1:20] That know how to promote themselves, that know how to bring in money, that know how to do what they need to do to be able to make it
[1:21 - 1:23] That's what I do
[1:23 - 1:31] See, all this time I've been looking and looking and looking for a label, but when I didn't realize last night when I was sitting down
[1:31 - 1:38] listening to my homie and brother, Ellucidus' newest track that just dropped
[1:38 - 1:46] I was listening to it and I was like, you know, I don't need to find a record label
[1:47 - 1:52] What I need is to start building my own label, to sign myself to a label
[1:52 - 1:56] To build my own brand, just like Hopson did
[1:56 - 2:08] Because of y'all don't know, Hopson built his own label with no money, at all
[2:08 - 2:13] And look where he got, and if he can do it, so can I
[2:14 - 2:18] If you artists that are very serious, I'm willing to work with you guys
[2:18 - 2:23] However much you make in sales, you get to keep
[2:23 - 2:26] And then I take about 30% of that out, and that's it
[2:26 - 2:28] The rest is yours
[2:28 - 2:31] You guys get to keep your original master tracks
[2:31 - 2:35] All the beats that are on the label will be free to use
[2:35 - 2:39] I'll be posting up a beat pack every week
[2:39 - 2:43] On YouTube, on the channel, where everything will be at
[2:43 - 2:46] I'll be making beats, and you guys can select from those beats
[2:46 - 2:50] Every artist can use the same beat they would like to
[2:50 - 2:53] Or they can choose from one of the other beats
[2:53 - 2:55] Everything will be provided to you
[2:55 - 2:59] I'll be posting links where you can record your music
[2:59 - 3:02] Where you can mix and master everything
[3:02 - 3:05] And whatnot, I'll be doing all that
[3:05 - 3:11] On top of recording my own music to release as well
[3:12 - 3:15] So yes, you guys will be getting paid
[3:15 - 3:18] But you guys will have to put in the hard work just like I'm doing
[3:18 - 3:21] You guys will have to be on that grind just like I'm on that grind
[3:21 - 3:24] Just like my boy Bradley's on that grind
[3:24 - 3:27] Just like my little brother Caleb's on that grind
[3:27 - 3:32] Just like my brother at 15 years, Eric Scruggelow's on that same grind
[3:32 - 3:36] Even to this day, Hobson's still on that grind
[3:36 - 3:39] He's still doing that, he's still going out
[3:40 - 3:42] And doing everything himself
[3:42 - 3:46] What I need is a team that's behind me that's willing to work with me
[3:46 - 3:49] That is serious about what they want to do
[3:49 - 3:52] And just as serious as I am
[3:52 - 3:54] Because I'm willing to put in the effort
[3:54 - 3:56] To blow out the sweat, the tears, the hard work
[3:56 - 3:58] I'm willing to put that in
[3:58 - 4:00] If it means cleaning up my reputation
[4:00 - 4:03] And actually making a living from what I really want to do
[4:03 - 4:05] Which is music
[4:05 - 4:07] I'm willing to put in that effort
[4:08 - 4:10] To silence the masses that have put me down
[4:10 - 4:17] And I want to give artists who deserve a shot a fair chance to make something of themselves
[4:17 - 4:21] Because there's a lot of artists that I know personally
[4:21 - 4:24] That are very very good at what they do
[4:24 - 4:30] And I merely want to give those artists a chance to make their dreams a reality
[4:30 - 4:34] To be able to start making money, to be able to build something, to be part of something
[4:34 - 4:37] And they can look back
[4:37 - 4:39] Once we start bringing in that money
[4:39 - 4:41] I want every single artist to be able to say
[4:41 - 4:44] Hey look, this is what I helped to build
[4:44 - 4:48] This is the record label that I'm part of that I helped build
[4:48 - 4:51] We may not have started out with anything
[4:51 - 4:56] We may not have gotten anywhere within the first few months or the first year or so
[4:56 - 4:59] But look where we're at now in the long run
[4:59 - 5:01] And that's what it's all about for me
[5:01 - 5:06] It's providing artists like myself with a fair chance to be able to make something of themselves
[5:06 - 5:08] To make things happen for themselves
[5:08 - 5:11] And to be able to put themselves out there
[5:11 - 5:17] Because like myself, there are way too many artists out there that deserve a shot
[5:17 - 5:21] And I want to give them a fair chance to do so
[5:21 - 5:27] Now like I said, the label won't be bringing in money right off the bat
[5:27 - 5:30] It's going to take hard work and time to build it up
[5:30 - 5:34] And I'm willing to go that route, I'm willing to go that journey
[5:35 - 5:37] I'm willing to put in that hard work
[5:37 - 5:43] If you artists out there that want to put in the time and the effort and do it, great
[5:43 - 5:47] And hopefully some of you artists that are serious about this
[5:47 - 5:49] Do want to put in that same amount of hard work
[5:49 - 5:52] Yes, there will be sacrifices
[5:52 - 5:56] Yes, there will be days that you might not want to get up and work
[5:56 - 5:59] You might not want to get up and do whatever
[5:59 - 6:02] And that's cool, we all have our off days
[6:04 - 6:05] And that's totally fine
[6:05 - 6:10] Because we all have off days, we all take breaks
[6:10 - 6:17] We have those days where we want to sit down, relax and be normal for a bit
[6:17 - 6:23] Whether that's a family thing going on, whether you want to spend time with your significant other
[6:23 - 6:28] That's totally understandable, I'm not going to take that away from you guys
[6:28 - 6:32] But what I am going to insist on is that you guys work
[6:33 - 6:35] Just as hard as I'm going to be working
[6:35 - 6:40] All last night and all this morning, I've been doing my research
[6:40 - 6:44] I've been busting my ass and doing what I need to do to be able to get stuff ready
[6:44 - 6:49] Like I said, I don't have the LLC as of yet, I'm still looking for a way to do it
[6:49 - 6:54] You know, the cheapest way to do it for now
[6:54 - 7:00] Until I can go out and do that 100+ dollar LLC
[7:01 - 7:05] So that when we all get paid, we won't lose any royalties
[7:05 - 7:09] Now as I said, as far as contracts go, you don't need to sign any
[7:09 - 7:12] You guys are free to come and go if you want
[7:12 - 7:16] If you guys feel like this label won't be for you
[7:16 - 7:20] Just let me know, hey, I like what you're doing, this label isn't for me
[7:20 - 7:24] But keep doing what you do, man, you're doing good
[7:24 - 7:30] As long as you approach me as a human being and say, hey, I appreciate what you did for me
[7:30 - 7:33] But I feel like I need to step away or whatever, that's fine
[7:33 - 7:37] That's totally fine, I'm not going to hold anybody to it
[7:37 - 7:42] Now, like I said, if you guys would like to stay and be a permanent part of the label
[7:42 - 7:49] Then maybe later on down the road, you know, I might implement, you know, some contracts and whatnot
[7:49 - 7:53] But until then, you know, like this is just getting going
[7:53 - 7:56] So we're not going to rush things ahead of time like that
[7:57 - 8:01] But hopefully I answered any questions for you guys about the label that's coming up
[8:01 - 8:09] Which, if you guys have any ideas other than Echoside Entertainment
[8:09 - 8:13] You know, hit me up, let me know
[8:13 - 8:17] Or if you have any other ideas besides the Last Life Records
[8:17 - 8:20] Hit me up, let me know, if you guys have any record label ideas in general
[8:20 - 8:25] Let me know, shoot me some ideas, because I've got the site, I just don't have a name for it yet
[8:26 - 8:32] So, like, I'm hoping maybe somebody can help, you know, make something of this
[8:32 - 8:36] If you guys have any label name ideas, shoot me up in the comments, man
[8:36 - 8:40] Hit me up, let me know what you guys think, what are some ideas that you guys have in mind
[8:40 - 8:46] If you are serious about them, hit me up, you guys can, you know, hit me up on Instagram
[8:46 - 8:55] Hit me up on Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, on here, hell, even on SoundCloud
[8:55 - 8:59] You know, hit me up, but let me know what ideas for names that you guys have in mind
[8:59 - 9:09] But until then guys, I'm your boy Scarface
[9:09 - 9:12] And I hope I answered you guys' questions about this
[9:12 - 9:16] Like I said, by no means is this a return speech, because I'm not returning to this channel
[9:16 - 9:21] I'm going to be, you know, posting on the label channel a lot
[9:23 - 9:28] As well as creating a new Scarface channel to get away and clean up my stuff
[9:28 - 9:33] So yeah, with that being said, I hope I answered you guys' questions
[9:33 - 9:36] And I'll see you guys later, peace
