[0:00 - 0:17] So, Skull Kid, you think you got me figured out, right? You think that just because you make money off of your music, you think that gives you a right to push somebody like me around, right?
[0:17 - 0:28] That makes you think that you got me figured out when it comes to me making my music, but the truth is, boy, you ain't got a damn thing figured out.
[0:29 - 0:49] Did you ever stop thinking for one minute that maybe I'm actually just that good? Did you ever stop thinking that maybe I actually took music classes when I was in school, when I was in high school, and that I'm actually naturally gifted when it comes to creating classical pieces? No, you didn't.
[0:49 - 1:12] See, the difference between me and you is this, unlike you, I'm a true artist. Just because you make money don't make you a true artist. See, a true artist never reveals his secrets. A true artist does not reveal how he creates his sound.
[1:13 - 1:31] See, you think that I did it that way, but the truth is I didn't do it the way that you think. I built those pieces from the ground up using my intellect, using my intelligence, using what I know how to do best, which is music.
[1:34 - 1:52] If you were any kind of a real artist school kid, you would follow the rule that every artist in the world follows, whether it be somebody like Drake, whether it be somebody like you and some of my best friends that I've known for years.
[1:52 - 2:07] People like my brother Eric Scrubbo, or my little brother Bratly. One thing that no artist does is reveal how they create their music.
[2:08 - 2:37] You think guys like Elvis gave away how he made his music when he was alive? You think guys like Lincoln Park gave out all their secrets? You think guys like Disturbed, people like Evanescence, or even people far back as The Beatles, or even Johann Sebastian Bach, or Beethoven gave out how they created their music.
[2:37 - 2:51] No, they let their music speak for them. And that's exactly what I do. So you school kid have a lot to learn.
[2:52 - 3:12] See, I don't give out my secrets stupidly, like you do, which is why people respect me. Because unlike you, I don't blab my mouth about what I do or don't do. I don't run my mouth about the money that I make from music.
[3:12 - 3:30] Unlike you, I don't go around, some people, oh, I make money in music. So, you know, I could sit there and talk shit on somebody who doesn't make money from it. See, you make money for the run. See, man, you make music for the wrong reasons, bro.
[3:30 - 3:44] You're in it for the money. Me, I'm in it for the passion. I'm in it to make a difference in this world, and to help people, and to do what I enjoy.
[3:45 - 3:59] So I'm telling you right now, school kid, you got another thing coming if you think you got me figured out, bro. You need to learn that lesson. And I'll be glad to teach it to you, kid.
[3:59 - 4:14] Ask every other person that I've proven wrong in the past. Every person that has ever challenged me on what I do, I have proven wrong. Everybody from Tonic, you, all my haters, all the trolls.
[4:14 - 4:28] I've proven every one of them wrong. And I can easily prove you wrong too, school kid. Just because you make money off your music, that don't mean you know what you're doing.
[4:28 - 4:43] You don't know what you're doing when it comes to keeping your mouth shut about how you make your music. That's not for anybody else but you to know.
[4:43 - 4:52] Now, I will give you credit though, man. Your music is good. I will give you that. I'll give you the credit of that, man. Your music is good.
[4:52 - 5:07] But what you don't understand is when it comes to how you create your music, you always keep your mouth shut, plain and simple.
[5:07 - 5:17] It's not for the public to know. Because when you do that, other people are going to copy your sound and copy your style.
[5:17 - 5:24] And when they do that, that makes you look like a second-rate wannabe.
[5:24 - 5:32] And is that what you think I am? A second-rate wannabe? No. I'm not.
[5:32 - 5:44] Now, you on the other hand, with you revealing how you make your music, that makes you that and more. That makes you a failure at music.
[5:44 - 6:00] That makes you a failure at being able to keep your stuff a secret. That gives leeway to other people to copy your sound and to copy your style.
[6:00 - 6:09] So, who's the fraud now, Skull Kid?
[6:09 - 6:14] All I got to say to you, Skull Kid, is I'd hate to be in your position right now, boy.
[6:14 - 6:22] I would really hate to be in your position right now. Because sooner or later, somebody's going to come along and copy your style.
[6:22 - 6:37] And guess what? They'll be making bank off of it while you're sitting there looking like a broke second-rate bitch with nothing to his name because of that mistake that you made.
[6:37 - 6:48] Mark my words, Skull Kid. It might not happen today, it might not happen a week from now or a month from now, but one of these days, somebody's going to copy your style.
[6:48 - 6:59] And you're going to regret that you ever revealed your sound or your style. Me? I know what the fuck I'm doing.
[6:59 - 7:11] I'm not the fraud that you think, pal. Which makes me... Oh, yeah. That's right. That makes me smarter than you.
[7:11 - 7:27] Yeah, I might not know notes. I might not know keys. But what I know is sound. And what I know is music.
[7:27 - 7:35] I wasn't raised like you in the music scene coming up. I wasn't raised how you were raised.
[7:35 - 7:44] I wasn't raised to play by note or play by key. I was raised to play by sound, by what I hear vocally.
[7:44 - 8:04] And then I take that and I translate it into the music that I create. That right there is true genius. That right there is true musicianship and true creativity at its finest.
[8:04 - 8:21] Which makes you a second-rate artist. Learn your stuff, Skull Kid, before you ever think about challenging a true musical genius and a true musical prodigy like myself.
[8:21 - 8:37] Get your shit together, Skull Kid, or stay the fuck out of the way. Because I am a musical genius and I'm not going to let some punk motherfucker like you get in my way.
[8:37 - 8:40] So like I said
