[0:00 - 0:08] What up y'all, it's your boy. Y'all already know what it is. Today I wanted to speak about something very serious.
[0:08 - 0:15] Some of you may or may not know, but I am an artist myself, not just recording artists, but I do a lot of artwork.
[0:15 - 0:23] Art is actually in my blood. My great-grandmother was actually a fan of this author and artist herself, so it kind of runs in my blood.
[0:23 - 0:40] But something that has really been pissing me off lately that I've been seeing over many years of doing artwork from transitioning from traditional art to digital art is the disrespect among the art community.
[0:40 - 0:48] Particularly when it comes to, and this isn't just happening to me when I say this, but this is happening to a lot of people.
[0:48 - 1:15] But the disrespect that's going on is very wrong. And what I mean by disrespect is a person taking some of his artwork, using Photoshop to get rid of their name, put that person's name, making money off it, and then going to their YouTube channel where they made the work, and they made the art, and then getting away with stealing it.
[1:15 - 1:25] Like, the shit needs to stop, guys. There's so much disrespect among the art community that it's sickening.
[1:25 - 1:32] Like, it makes it very hard for people like myself to actually make good money off of our artwork.
[1:32 - 1:37] And I've been doing art since I was freaking four or five years old.
[1:37 - 1:49] Like, I grew up doing artwork my entire life. And the amount of disrespect that I've been seeing over these past 10 to 15 years is sickening.
[1:49 - 2:01] Like, it kills me because the art community used to have respect for each other.
[2:01 - 2:16] When I was growing up as a kid, we used to respect each other, whether it was hand-drawn art or whether it was new found art through MS Paint or whatever platform you use.
[2:16 - 2:23] There was always a form of respect among the art community.
[2:23 - 2:42] What I want to know is what happened to that respect. Like, I myself, when it comes to my digital artwork that I do, I do so that my best artwork is digitally done.
[2:42 - 2:53] And, like, I get bullied and attacked for being, I suppose, an art thief. I get told my stuff is stolen.
[2:53 - 3:02] I get told that I'm a fake, a fraud, that, oh, I'm going to get you for this. I've had people attack me.
[3:02 - 3:12] And this isn't just happening to me. This is happening to a lot of people all over the world that are digital artists like myself.
[3:12 - 3:31] Like I said, I've been doing art my entire life. And I've never seen so much disrespect among the art community, as I've seen very recently within the last 10 to 15 years.
[3:31 - 3:34] This disrespect needs to stop.
[3:34 - 3:44] And for all y'all motherfuckers that are stealing my artwork, that are getting money off my shade, y'all need to stop it because I know who half-y'all are.
